Smallville Black ShirtCryptozoic Entertainment is planning a number of important non-sport sets for 2012, including one that has been a big fan-favorite for over ten years: Smallville. NSU asked CZE COO Scott Gaeta why he wanted to pursue the Smallville title even though the show has ceased production. Said Gaeta, “Even though the series has ended its run on the CW Network, TNT recently added Smallville reruns to its 2011 fall schedule, continuing its presence on television. Additionally, the DVD’s of season 1 – 10 are very popular and continue to bring in new fans. As many of us at Cryptozoic are big fans of the show, we want to continue to show support for the current new fans of the show, [as well as] fans of the character, Superman. Superman has delighted fans across all mediums of entertainment for decades.”

For additional information on Cryptozoic’s upcoming Smallville product, see the February/March issue of Non-Sport Update, shipping January 9, 2012.
