This summer, Cryptozoic Entertainment will release their first DC Comics series entitled DC Comics: The New 52. The series is based on DC Comics’ relaunch of its monthly superhero books. One of the highlights of the card series is sure to be the use of all-new, original art. It’s been a while in non-sports that a card company has presented a series with completely fresh art for all of the base cards.
Insert cards include foil, die-cut “Lanterns” and lenticular “Work In Progress” cards showing iconic characters as they go from a sketch to full-color images. Cryptozoic will also include random redemption cards which can be redeemed for oversized art cards and six different DC Comics original art pages (how sweet would it be to find one of these?).
