Following a successful year-long run of highlighting the world’s greatest geeks with a collection of online trading cards (and a couple of smaller sets of printed cards), Len Peralta is hoping to make Geek a Week 2.0 happen. But he’s looking for some help.

Using the online pledge site, KickStarter, Peralta is hoping to raise $7,500 to help fund the new card set. Fans and collectors can use the site to give to a pool of money. If the goal is reached within 30, credit cards are charged and Geek a Week 2.0 moves ahead.

Besides making art happen, one of the cool things about KickStarter is that those looking for funds offer up some enticing incentives to get the money rolling. Geek a Week 2.0 has collectors in mind with the gifts. Here’s a breakdown of what you can get:

  • $15 or more: Autographed 15-card set (cards signed by Peralta)
  • $25 or more: Autographed card set and exclusive bonus card

  • $1500 or more: Two card sets, two autographed card sets, digital portrait by Peralta, personalized card back written by comedy duo Paul and Storm, 250 copies of the personalized card and a personal 8.5 x 11 portrait done by Peralta

Just a few days into the funding drive and Peralta is already nearing his goal. Should the donation surpass the $7,500 goal, Peralta has pledged to print more cards from the original series. Donations can be made through October 2.
