Monster SchoolIt’s been said that everyone has inner demons they need to control. Change demons to monsters and you have the basic idea behind “Monster School”. Monster School Project LLC is a multi-media project about a school, The Rod Serling School for International Studies, that teaches troubled kids how to control their inner monsters. Many of the actors involved in the project say it’s a bit like Harry Potter in the sense that this isn’t a “normal” school that the kids are going to. The teachers at the school, many who have their own inner monsters, are there to teach the students how to control their monsters.

“Monster School Project LLC” is designed to have a feature film, directed by Joe Dante, motion comics, and graphic novels. The graphic novels are meant to supplement the feature film and provide back stories and secrets about the school. The motion comics will provide more information about the students and teachers. At this time, there is no official release date for any of these projects, although I believe the movie is due to be released in 2014.

The cast of the “Monster School” film contains many names familiar to sci-fi and horror fans. Robert Picardo, Garret Wang, Tim Russ, Kane Hodder, Clare Kramer, Heather Langenkamp, Reggie Bannister, Lisa Wilcox, Nicholas Brendon, and Kevin Sorbo are just a few of the names involved.

The Monster School Project LLC made it’s debut at the 2013 San Diego Comic Con with a booth in the exhibit hall. Many of the actors were on hand during the weekend to sign trading cards that featured the characters they’ll be playing. There were a total of 22 cards released at SDCC. Anyone who picked up a set may notice that card 08 was missing. That’s because the actor hadn’t approved the artwork yet. The set also contained an unnumbered header card with the SDCC logo.
