Upper Deck 25th Anniversary

Today marks the 25th anniversary of Upper Deck. Though sports cards have always been a mainstay at Upper Deck, the California-based company has produced some 70 non-sport/entertainment trading cards over its long history.  Disney and Marvel have been Upper Deck’s most popular subjects though the company really has covered the gamut with everything from movies to parody and comics to history.

In the upcoming Apr/May ’14 issue of Non-Sport Update, NSU‘s Don Norton has filed a full report on this momentous milestone. But to honor the actual day today, we thought we’d put together a gallery of Upper Deck releases over their 25 year span. We’ve included one card for every year except for 2002 when Upper Deck did not have any entertainment card release. To round things out and give you a full 25, we’ll give you a second card from 1997—George of the Jungle. Who doesn’t love George of the Jungle?
