We recently wrote about Brian Wallos appearing on Bravo TV’s The Millionaire Matchmaker. It seems Wallos is not the only player in non-sports to get his due on a Bravo TV reality series.
The artist known as “The Sucklord” will appear on Bravo TV’s Work of Art: The Next Great Artist. The series pits up and coming artists against each other to compete for $100,000 and a solo exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum. The Sucklord will be one of 14 contestants competing in the second season of the series, which premiers October 12. Bravo TV now has a preview of Work of Art on their site as well as The Sucklord’s bio.
The Sucklord is the artist behind SideKick’s Suckpax Action Art card series. You may also recognize The Sucklord’s work from the 5th and 6th installments of Topps’ Star Wars Galaxy series. Two series of Suckpax cards have been produced thus far and a third series will premier at the New York Comic Con on October 13 -16 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City, where The Sucklord will be a guest at SideKick’s booth (booth #576 in the Cultyard Pavilion). The Sucklord may also make an appearance at the Philly Non-Sports Card Show the following weekend (October 22 – 23). He appeared at last Fall’s Philly Show as well.
This is not The Sucklord’s first reality show appearance. In 2006, he appeared on the VH1 show Can’t Get A Date. You can see a follow-up video with The Sucklord from that series here. We wish The Sucklord all the best and hope he takes walks away with the $100k and exhibit showing.
