In June of this year, we added the blog section to nonsportupdate.com. Since then, we’ve posted over 150 stories including interviews, show reports, entertainment news and of course, lots of trading card news. We’ve had posts from many members of the magazine staff (Alan Biegel, Roxanne Toser, Dave Thompson, Ryan Cracknell, Scott Thomas, and myself) as well as friends of Non-Sport Update including Bob Hulsart, Laura Inglis, Jeri Metz, Dave Brown, and Paul Bines.

We thought now was a good time to see what the top blog posts of the year were, based on site traffic. Here they are:

New York Comic Con 2011 Photo Gallery #1 – New York Comic Con topped posts about Comic Con International and other long established shows, showing how NYCC continues to grow by leaps and bounds.

Dragon Con 2011 – Another show report entry full of photos.

Choice Marketing’s 9-11 Memorial Series 10th Anniversary Edition – What can we say? You like fire engines!

Wizard World Philadelphia 2011 – Philadelphia Ghostbusters, Margot Kidder, Billy Dee Williams, Alan Biegel, and Batman. What more could you want in a show report?

New York Comic Con 2011 Invaded by NSU! – Batman wanders the show floor with NSU at the New York Comic Con and comes up near the top of our chart.

Exclusive Trading Cards at Comic-Con International 2011 – We checklisted many of the Comic-Con International card freebies and continued to do so during the show.

Bettie Page Private Collection Promo Checklist – This one took a lot of work to compile. Still, it was a lot easier then collecting the cards! We’re still working on our set.

Cryptozoic Adds Limited Edition Cards to The Walking Dead Card Series – Cryptozoic’s entry into non-sports was a huge event this year.

Rittenhouse Archives Announces 11 Exclusive Promos for Comic-Con International – Rittenhouse Archives had collectors walking the show floor in San Diego this year. Savvy collectors could print out our checklist to guide them around the show floor.

Topps Planning New Mars Attacks Merchandise for 2012? – 2012 will be huge for Mars Attacks and Mars entries like this one are likely to top our 2012 list as well.

What were your favorite non-sport memories of 2012? We’d love to hear them and also, let us know what you’d like to see more of on this page in ’12.
