Captain AmericaCollectors have been waiting for details on inserts in the just-released Upper Deck series, Captain America: The First Avenger Movie Trading Card Set. The product started showing up on eBay about a week ago and Upper Deck has finally released some details.

Captain America: The First Avenger Movie Trading Card Set includes a base card set of 86 movie plot cards, 12 character cards and one movie poster header card. According to Upper Deck’s press release, the series also contains autographed cards from actors Kenneth Choi (“Jim Morita”), Stanley Tucci (“Dr. Erskine”), Toby Jones (“Arnim Zola”) and Neal McDonough (“Dum Dum Dugan”). Upper Deck’s press release notes the inclusion of autographs “such as” those listed above so we’re unsure if this is the entire list.

Also included are movie memorabilia cards containing costumes from both Steve Rogers and Captain America, Peggy Carter, and The Red Skull. Again, the costume cards are are listed in a way that we are unsure if this is the entire list. Movie memorabilia cards appear at a rate of 1 per 48 packs.

Sketch cards are included as well. Artists include Charles Hall, Katie Cook, Eric Ninaltowski, Jonboy Meyers and Jim Cheung. And finally, Upper Deck has added insignia patch cards to the mix. Collectors will find cards featuring some of the famous uniform logos and patches that are prevalent in the movie. There are six patch cards to collect including Red Skull’s Hydra Army patch. No odds are given for autograph cards, sketch cards, or patch cards.

Upper Deck’s Captain America: The First Avenger Movie Trading Card Set contain seven cards per pack and 24 packs per box. As stated, the product is live now. Captain America: The First Avenger premiers onscreen July 22.
