Two very lucky Walking Dead trading card buyers will be in for a shock when they open their Cryptozoic’ Walking Dead packs next month. And 18 others will be extremely pleased as well.

The Walking Dead will be released in mid-December and today, Cryptozoic has announced two one-of-one cards that will be randomly-inserted in packs. Embroidered police badges from both Rick and Shane’s shirts will be made into two, one-of-one, oversized wardrobe cards. The card with Rick’s badge uses his shoulder badge patch while the card with Shane’s badge uses his t-shirt badge. Images of both cards are below.

CZE has put a second patch from Shane’s t-shirt to good use as well. The patch will be cut into pieces and made into 18 very limited-edition cards (see third image below). Both the one-of-one cards and the 18 cut-patch cards will be available via redemption cards inserted in card packs. CZE’s Scott Gaeta tells us they hate redemption cards as much as we do but “in this case, even the smaller patch cards are too thick to reasonably put in packs.” On the plus side, all cards are already in-hand at Cryptozoic, so there will be no delays in fulfillment.
